And A Good Time Was Had By All.  See You next year!!!!.
It was a perfect spring day, Friday, April 8, 2005. It was cool enough to wear a jacket but warm enough
to be comfortable outside. The sun was shining brightly. The lovely showplace was the Piedmont Kennel
Club in Charlotte, N.C. The grounds were neatly trimmed and trees and flowers were blooming.
Exhibitors, judges and spectators were going about their varied tasks. The Carolina Combined Specialties
Club was holding a drawing later in the day. Each member club would have $100.00 cash to award an
exhibitor who entered and showed their dog in the club’s show that day. In addition, a single drawing
would be held for a $500.00 cash prize. All the money had been donated by a benefactor and friend of the
clubs. Also, The Comfort Inn at Carowinds was offering a free night at their motel to one of the exhibitors
for show weekend. The participating clubs were:  Central Carolina Pug Dog Club, Dalmatian Club of the
Piedmont,  Carolina Cocker Club, Doberman Pinscher of Charlotte, Central Carolina Pomeranian Club and
Greater Charlotte Shetland Sheepdog Club. Entries were higher than usual for almost all of the clubs.
